3 | Maharashtra | Rathi | The name is supposed to be first Originated from, Rathi, meaning, Chariot Driver . In 7th Century the Chinese Traveler, Huan Tsang, refeers the name. In Ancient times, it ws also called as, ‘Dandakaranya’. The State was officially formed on 1st May, 1960. |
